Came here for breakfast. Part of the menu is only available after 1030am so I ordered their French toast. Delicious and great flavor! The syrup is on the side so you can add as much or little as you like. It’s not overly sweet yet full of flavors and I enjoyed it a lot! My only complaint is that it’s a little burnt on one side but not too much to an extend that you can taste it. Great atmosphere and service too! I also enjoyed their playlist :)
Really fresh local coffee shop with some quality breakfast items. The french toast has this cinnamon swirl going on that is amazing and the BEC was spot on. Small spot but very impactful in the neighborhood and worth a visit.
I stopped by Harper’s Cafe on a Saturday afternoon during their caffeinated event with KINNECT New Jersey, thinking I’d just grab a coffee and a sandwich on my way to Philly. But I ended up staying almost 30 minutes because the vibes were just that good. The space is beautifully curated, the ambiance is calm and inviting, and the staff was incredibly warm—shoutout to Garan, who took great care of me and was super patient with my order. They accidentally gave me the wrong drink at first, but it turned out to be delicious anyway, and they handled it with care. The coffee was amazing—I don’t know where they get their beans from, but it was easily one of the best I’ve had in Jersey. Harper’s is definitely going into my regular café rotation. Absolutely LOVE Harpers Café in West Orange, NJ hands down my favorite coffee shop around! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm, relaxed vibes that make you want to stay all day. The coffee? Always on point- smooth, rich, and brewed to perfection every single time. And don’t even get me started on the avocado toast… it’s next-level delicious. Perfectly seasoned, fresh ingredients, and so satisfying without being heavy. The best part, though, has to be the owner. So kind, welcoming, and genuinely cares about creating a great experience for every single guest. You can feel the love and intention in every detail, from the cozy decor to the thoughtfully curated menu. Whether I’m catching up on work, meeting a friend, or just stopping in for a quick pick-me-up, Harpers Café never disappoints. A true gem in West Orange!
Just excellent. Food and coffee were perfect. Service great Vibes perfect. Quiet, chill, and - the best part - is that it is a legit neighborhood spot. Could not recommend more highly. I am extremely particular about my coffee and therefore usually make it myself - but this spot is fantastic. 10 stars!
What a wonderful experience. Breakfast with friends in a beautifully decorated black owned business with a menu item for everyone. We loved that the owner greeted everyone that his doors. The entire staff shares his warmth and professionalism. Everyone was a delight! The food was the cherry on top! Please get the truffle grilled cheese sandwich. Perfectly cooked bacon with delicious a croissant pictured. Thank you for having us, we can’t wait to return.
Today’s is my first time visiting Harper’s cafe but it sure won’t be my last ! This cafe has a great atmosphere, chill music and amazing artwork. To eat I had the turmeric hot chocolate with oat milk and it was nice, creamy and healthy and the avocado toast truly a delight. Totally recommend this cafe if you want to get some work done and enjoy delicious food.
